Safe Jobs Save Lives Campaign

The Southern Workers Assembly has launched the Safe Jobs Save Lives campaign to help workers to build workplace committees to fight for safety on the job amid COVID-19. We hosted two webinars to bring workers together across industries, most recently focusing on meatpacking. We have now produced a new pamphlet describing the political economy of meatpacking in the US South, as well as some of the struggles of workers to fight for safety amid COVID-19. We will be hosting future webinars about workers collective actions in bus/transit, healthcare and other industries. We also plan to host another Southern Workers School in the fall, as soon as it is safe to do so . We need your financial support to help us continue to do this work, including doing on-the-ground outreach to workers, distributing the new printed meatpacking pamphlet and hosting the new workers school.
