Help Me Put A Down Payment On A New Car

Hi! I'm a struggling essential worker in dire need of a new car. My only issue is coming up with the down payment! I work as a home health aid to elderly and disabled adults, a highly vulnerable population, and many people who need my help on a daily basis!
As much as I love my Jean-Claude Grand Am, I really need to get a more reliable car. The repairs this car needs cost more than the car itself is worth, even after repairs. This poor old car is getting less and less reliable, and I've now been stranded or late to work too many times to count.
My roommate also moved out, and I'm living alone for the first time. I cannot move at the moment due to my dog being sick and going blind (the vet suggests not moving him until he is stable and adjusted); his illness was yet another unexpected increase in expenses. Because of the financial strain of these events, I need to make some supplemental income with Postmates, which I cannot do in my current vehicle.
I was quarantined for two weeks of the pandemic with no sick pay, and all my extra money has gone towards catching up on bills, but the car situation cannot keep waiting! It is just a matter of time before my 21-yearold jalopey stops running permanently and I'm SOL.
I had planned to get a new-to-me car with my stimulus check, but my stimulus check never arrived, and I haven't been able to get through to find out why.
