This fundraiser is to support Angela Koenig through her battle with breast cancer. On February 05, 2024 Angela was diagnosed with with an aggressive breast cancer that is HER2 & Estrogen positive. It has spread to the nearby lymph nodes.

Treatment consists of MRI, Ultrasound, Oncology Dr's, Cardiology Dr's, Surgeons, IV Chemotherapy & IV hormone suppression drugs. A lumpectomy is planned followed by continuing IV treatments as well as radiation treatment. The treatments are expected to last for one year.

Angela is a wife, mother & grandmother. Before her cancer diagnosis she owned & operated a small business, had numerous volunteer activities, provided food services to her community, & operated a small homestead. She is a person who sincerely & without any need for public recognition helps everywhere she sees a need & opportunity to help others.

Since her diagnosis the treatments have been very hard on her body. She has closed her business, stopped volunteer activities, & is focused on healing. She tires very easily & is often plagued with pain, fatigue, & generally feeling unwell. She is losing hearing, has declining eyesight, & congestive heart problems as an additional burdens. These additional burdens are all due to side effects of her treatment. Finances have suffered with her income loss & the extra medical expenses. While she does have medical insurance, only a portion is covered by insurance. Each IV treatment costs around $90,000 every three weeks. Plus Dr fees, other medications, expensive tests, specialist fees, eye care costs, hearing care costs, & so much more medical. She still has to meet basic living expenses such as food, utilities, & car gas/repairs. She travels around 100 miles to receive each treatment, exam, & care.
