Help Angela Pay Rent!

Angela moved to NYC from Trinidad in the 1980's to work and to send money to her family.  She has since been welcomed into the homes of many families and become a part of those families. She is an amazing person who has a lot of love to give.

All who get to know Angela quickly grow to love her for her charm and general enthusiasm. She has persevered through many hard times but she maintains a positive attitude and is always willing to help others in whatever ways she can, even when she herself is dealing with financial or health hardship. Her wisdom and advice have guided me through difficult times in my own life.

Angela started working for my family when I was 3 years old as a housekeeper and babysitter. She played such an important role in my growing up, it's hard to describe.

She is family.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a lot of financial stress for Angela, as it has for so many people. She lost her jobs and can no longer afford rent. She has lived in the same apartment in the Bronx for nearly 30 years and is at risk for losing it.

My family and I have done what we can to support her through these tough times, but we cannot do it alone. We are asking our friends to help us help this wonderful person pay her rent. Any small donation will help her keep her home until she is able to find more work.

Angela currently owes 3 months of rent. The housing situation in NYC is complicated and up in the air. It's unknown what kind of forgiveness will be provided for these months during the pandemic. We want to be as prepared as possible for whatever decision may come.
