Eastern York Work Camp

We need your help so we can help our community. The Eastern York Workcamp Initiative (EYWI) is co-sponsoring our 3rd work camp at the Eastern York High School from June 22nd through the 28th. This camp provides FREE home repair, basic construction, and painting for low-income, disabled, and elderly residents.

We currently have over 170 youth and leaders coming to our community from different states to participate in this work camp. We are aiming to provide assistance to 28 homes.

Many of these residents need this work done to get safely in and out of their homes. Ultimately, the entire camp can’t be made possible without funding and support from our community. With the rising cost of materials and the amount of need in our community, we anticipate that the cost for the materials alone will run around $60,000. We have a donor who is matching dollar for dollar up to $13k, so every dollar you donate will double!

We recognize there are so many places that your hard-earned money could go, but we truly believe this work camp can help the people in our community that can't help themselves. Thank you for your consideration.
