Have Faith... Help Faith

August 24/25th: Our daughter has been admitted to Baptist hospital. We have no answers yet as to exactly what is making her so sick, but we covet your prayers for her healing! August 25th: Update on Faith: she is being treated for a severe strain of viral pneumonia. Her fever spiked at nearly 104 this morning, and she was very dehydrated, but things are beginning to turn around slowly (hopefully). Thank you for your continued prayers. We truly appreciate it. August 26th: Update on Faith:  She is on oxygen now to assist in breathing complications.  However, The TEAM of providers feel as though we are getting closer to an answer, and answers = treatment. They are working around the clock and giving exceptional care to her. She is tired. We are tired...BUT we are hopeful that healing is coming soon...and we KNOW God is in control and He is giving us peace in the midst of this storm. August 27th: It's just easier to update the many friends and family here on FB rather than try to respond individually.  Please  know your prayers, texts, and kindness mean so much to our family, but I am unable to respond to everyone individually. We may set up a "care page" soon that you can follow.  Latest update: Lungs and fever are the main problem. Faith is now on significant oxygen, and continues to battle whatever has attacked her body and is very weak. The Pulmonology team here is now taking the lead in her care. Faith will undergo a bronchoscopy in the morning to give the doctors a clearer picture of her lungs. With that, the tissue will take 2-3 days to trickle back to the drs and then they feel confident they can go with a treatment plan specific to what they find. I ask that you all pray specifically for: 1)immediate comfort for Faith physically 2)narrowed, focused answers from the tests that have already been done 3) safe and perfect guidance during tomorrow's procedure with SPECIFIC RESULTS and 4) complete and total healing from God's hands thru modern medicine and His miracles. August 28th: Update on Faith Victoria. We had a lot of complications during the night. She has just been moved to ICU in Reynolds Tower and we are waiting for her care team to get her situated before we go back to see her. Her bronchoscopy at 10am will now involve placing her on a ventilator to help her receive the proper oxygen and rest her body needs. We ask that you pray for the Mighty Hand of the Great Healer to touch our daughter and for our entire family. My sister, Laura Lamb will try to give updates (from my phone) later thru the day. UPDATE on Faith Victoria: The bronchoscopy and biopsy procedure went well today (there was severe hemorrhage, but dr took care of it). Faith remains intubated as well as being sedated to keep her comfortable. We don't know how long this road is. Praise Report***1)The doctors are pleased at where she is now, as compared to the last 48 hours and placing her on the vent was a good decision ****2) late this evening Faith opened her eyes when her daddy touched her. She knew we were there and tried to communicate. They cannot let her get anxious or upset, so they HAVE to keep her sedated, BUT...seeing our baby girl's eyes open today even if only for a few seconds, and recognizing us, was our hope that sustains us for today. What to pray for: ****1) lab results and cultures to come back timely and ACCURATE *****2) Removal of the ventilator with no distress to the body/lungs. Unsure of exact timeline. ****3) Faith's lungs need healing, not just from the illness, but from the surgery today. She has a lot of recovery ahead and our prayer is for her body to keep moving towards healing. Baby steps are ok. Our family has been humbled and blessed with so many prayers, visits, calls and texts. Although this is the most horrifying experience we have ever endured and no one should have to see their child go through this...God KEEPS giving us grace, mercy, and strength to get through each moment of this nightmare. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING...WE KNOW GOD HEARS OUR CRIES (and there's been alot), HE LOVES FAITH (She is HIS daughter too), and WE ARE BELIEVING HIS GRACE WILL SUSTAIN US! August 30th: Update on Faith Victoria. Faith is making steps in the right direction. She is very cognitive and is corresponding by WRITING notes to her doctors, nurses, and family. In fact, SHE made the decision, in agreement with the doctors, not to pull the vent today. She is aware of her body enough to know she needs more rest and more meds. She has had a very active, but difficult day, so they are making sure she has some "quiet time" several times a day through sedation. To say we are encouraged is an understatement. We KNOW our friends, family, churches, and people all over the U.S. that don't even know Faith (or us) are praying and God is hearing you! Please, please don't let up!!!
