Help Ryder fight Guillian barre
Donation protected
I created this fund for my nephew Ryder. Friday morning he was complaining his arms were sore and that he couldn't lift them, by the afternoon his legs were getting weaker. Thank God my sister trusted her instincts when naturally people were assuming (myself inculded) that silly Ryder was goofing off. She brought him to the ER. After many tests they transported him to another hospital for more testing and a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) After numerous labs, a CT and MRI they have come to the conclusion he has a rare condition called Guillian Barre syndrome and microplasma pneumonia. Guillian Barre is a condition where the body's immune system attacks the central nervous system. It can cause paralysis and respiratory failure. They have started antibiotics and IV immunoglobulin. Now is just a waiting game.... Since my sister took him in so quickly and he was started on IVIG hopefully he improves fast but there is no way to tell other than time. I created this gofund me to help with all the medical expenses and to help Joann and Justin with them both being out of work. Joann is a deputy with Okeechobee county sheriffs office, thankfully they are working with her. With this condition there is no way to estimate how long Ryder will need to stay in the hospital, could be weeks or months. No donation is too small. We pray he gets better quickly, today should have been his first day of 1st grade. He is a tough kid who loves mud trucks, fishing and all typically boy things. Despite all the torturous testing he has been such a good boy!
