RVA Unites to Care for the Caregivers

Donation protected
Richmond, it's time we take care of our caregivers, as they sacrifice their time and security to take care of the community.

As many of us hunker down as part of social distancing, a large group of people calmly and voluntarily walk into the storm—and they do so every day. These are the medical professionals who are asked to be in contact with patients with coronavirus every day. They willingly take on that risk for the good of our community and families. They fully understand the long hours they will be asked to work; the stress, suffering, and heartache that goes with it; and the ever-present dangers, even with all the precautions.

Front-line caregivers will face incredible levels of stress day in and day out for the next few months. To help them bear this continuous burden and deliver the best care to patients, we need to help care for our caregivers.

I am asking Richmond to unite to both help our caregivers while supporting our local restaurants, which are also facing a daunting challenge. It's a small gesture, but I’m asking that we donate so we can provide a nice, delivered dinner to them and their families to show we appreciate and honor their service to us. By doing so, we will help both our local businesses as well as our community of healthcare workers.

We have a website for other ways to show you care.  Please visit richmondunites.weebly.com
