In loving memory of my brother Russell Scott Mickan

Hi my name is Corrine Kaiser and I’m raising funds for my brothers funeral. My brother Russell was born on the 24th August 1963. Mum had him so quick that he wasn’t breathing. The midwife didn’t know what to do. By the time the Matron came the brain damage was done.

The doctor in Brisbane told Mum to take him home and love him as he would only live to 2. It was difficult over the years for Mum and Dad but wouldn’t have had it any other way. Mum passed in 2001 who Russell adored and then Dad in 2022. In the past 10 years he has lived in a Supported Independent Living home with 24 hour care. Staff have been amazing. Russell was a real character always making everyone’s day brighter whenever he entered a room.

Russell was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in April last year and passed on the 19th December 2024. He was an amazing brother who I miss everyday. I have never asked for money before. I am a single Mum of 6 special needs children myself. I am still working on the funeral which hopefully will be by next week. With Christmas/New Year has been hard organising venues. Russell gave so much to people that I wanted to give him the send off he deserves. Money raised will go pay for the funeral and headstone. Any amount will be humbly accepted.
