Running for Cohens box
Donation protected
I'm jack, I dont like running and the thought of running for 4hrs+ is not appealing. However, 2 years ago my son Jackson was born 3 months premature and due to covid restrictions I wasnt allowed to visit him in hospital for 5 weeks. I felt helpless. I thought of ways I could be useful; keeping Kristin (Jackson’s mum) going making silly videos, cooking & cleaning the house (sometimes).
Just after Jackson was born in Princess Anne Maternity Unit at Southampton Hospital we recived a box of the most thoughtful gifts from ‘Cohens Box’ and it helped us so much. It included a large elephant for us cuddle when we had to leave Jackson & a small elephant for Jackson to have in his incubator as well as other essential toiletries and comfort items. Cohen’s Mum started fundraising to create these boxes as well as donating other essential equipment to the NICU. We have regular contact with Cohen’s mum & she is so kind & supportive to all families who have had premature babies at Princess Anne.
I decided I would run a marathon to help raise money for Cohen’s Box who has helped so many parents and families through some of the hardest times of their lives.
So here goes lets see what we can do.
