Run for Starlight!

Hi All! My name is Robby Dunn and I am raising money for a local nonprofit organization, The Learning Disabilities Association of WNY in Buffalo. The LDA is a wonderful organization that provides support to individuals throughout their life span. One of their programs is Starlight Studio and Art Gallery which allows for the cultivation of artistic expression for individuals who have disabilities.

 

When I was young I used to love “Run for the Arts” where we raised money by running laps around the school and collecting pledge donations, typically an amount for each lap completed. 25 years later, I thought it might be fun to do my own version. On May 12th I’ll be participating in a race event in Augusta, New Jersey called “3 days at the Fair” where I’ll be running a 1 mile loop at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in a 72 hour timed race. The goal is to run, walk, or crawl as many miles as possible. You can sleep when you want, eat when you want, and stop when you want. I’ll be pitching a tent near the loop and have a goal to run and walk for 12 hours each day, for 3 days.

 

I know there is a lot going on in our crazy world right now and there are plenty of wonderful causes that could use our donations and support. With that said, I’d be honored if you would consider pledging and give me extra incentive to keep going!

 

All the funds will go to the LDA of WNY and Starlight Studio and Art Gallery. I will match $10 for every donation, and am pledging an amount for each loop/mile I stumble across. :)
