Marlin's Dream of Medical School
Donation protected
Hello kind donor,
My name is Marlin and I live in Bangladesh. I love to sing and spend time with my family. I am in my third year of a five year program at Dhaka Community Medical College.
As a child growing up in my village, I saw many people suffering from many diseases and injuries which made me want to become a doctor so I could help them and serve the people I love. I prayed to be allowed to study medicine many times. God heard me and I was admitted into medical college.
The first two years of my studies went well, but during my third year my family started having financial problems, and now I am having a hard time coming up with my tuition. I am already a few months behind with tuition and must pay all pending tuition prior to the semester at the end of April.
My father works very hard in a public NGO in my village which relies on donations from other countries, and I was getting help with tuition from these same donors. Unfortunately the donations to the NGO stopped, and so did my tuition sponsorship.
I have two siblings. They are also studying in school and the tuition for all of us is more than my father can afford.
As you know, medical study is expensive. It is hard for my father to pay all my expenses. I hope to be the first LDS female doctor in Bangladesh. I have two more years to complete my medical studies, so I pray to God that someone may read this and be willing to help me with continuing my medical schooling so that I can be a good doctor in future and serve my societies people and my family.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am so grateful for the chance to share this with you and will appreciate any help that people feel they can give. May God bless you.
