Rosalie's Volunteer Dental Trip to Nepal.

In May this year, I will be combining my passion to help others with my skills as a Dental Nurse and will be providing free dental treatment for impoverished children in remote villages in Nepal. I will be working out of a mobile clinic, alongside local dental students, where I hope to change lives and bring smiles to a hundred of little faces ☺

In many parts of the world, there is limited access to dentists and the cost of treatment is financially impossible for families & their children. I will be working through a Dental volunteer program called Global Dental Relief.  GDR’s mission is to bring free dental care to these children that need it most, in orphanages and remote villages. 

Kids experience the majority of their oral development in childhood and teen years which is why this is a fundamental time to form habits that will shape their adult lives by providing them with the care and education to achieve lifelong dental health. Without this care many children may live with dental pain and infection, affecting their ability to sleep, eat and participate in school. 

It costs around $180 per child to provide them with hygiene checkups, oral cleans, restorative work and ongoing care.

Raised funds will help to cover the cost of dental supplies, as well as other expenses that are required for us to run the dental clinic.
