Romualdo’s Cancer Journey

Hi friends and family! My name is Priscilla and I want to initially thank you for taking the time out of your day to help donate, read or spread the word. The love of my life, Romualdo unexpectedly got diagnosed with lymphoma Non-Hodgkin cancer more specially large diffused B-cell. This was very unexpected to us and everyone close to us as we are just two young adults in our young twenties just living life and being happy.

Beginning of October was when he had gotten a chest x-ray because he thought he had pneumonia from constantly being sick and nonstop coughing. That’s when they found a very large mediastinal mass in his chest sitting right above his thymus gland. From then was nonstop specialist appointments from the cardiovascular surgeon, pulmonologist to oncologist to get more answers and steps on what we should do next. His next steps were more scans and biopsy (CT and PET Scan) so that the doctors could get more visuals of what kind of cancer this was as well as what kind of treatment would be best.

All scans showed that the mass was measuring 14cm, did not spread to other organs, localizing above the thymus gland in the middle of his chest. After meeting with his oncologist post-biopsy, the best approach would be chemotherapy and it would essentially melt the tumor. Fast forward to now, he recently got his chemotherapy port inserted and will be starting chemotherapy November 20th causing him to put work on a hold. I am raising funds to help with medical expenses and bills in the meantime while he is out from work until he is able to get back to work. We both would like to thank you in advanced for any donations, all the continuous prayers, support, and taking the time to read this.
