Roman's Home and Community Rebuild

Never in a million years did I ever think I will be doing this. As I write this with tears rolling down my face, I see the smile on my parents face as they stand on the porch of the house they work so hard for.

Hurricane Maria came through and destroyed their home and their hearts. 

My parents were born and raised in Puerto Rico. In their early 20's they came to the US to work. They work their entire lives until they retired and were able to go back to their homeland of Puerto Rico.

They moved to Puerto Rico 11 years ago and built their home which is where they will reside for the rest of their lives. In a blink of an eye, its no longer what they once had.

As long as I can remember their home in Camden, NJ was always an open door for anyone that may of needed a place to stay, something to eat and of course a cup of coffee. Their house was home to many.
 
I say this not for a reason for you to donate but to say that they are the most humble and giving people I will ever know. If it was their last and you were in need, they will give it to you.

Any funds that are raised, I will utilize the funds to rebuild any structural damage. It will also be use to replace all their belongings that were lost.

My heart is also with the neighbors and other family members,  if I am able to help with the funds raised, trust and believe I will do so. Our town is in a very rural area and I know that they will not receive the help necessary.

So I am taking on the challenge to help!

I have many that have ask me what is needed, how can they help. This is one way that you can help. I will be recording and taking pictures when I arrive so you can see how your donations are being used.

I will not be using these funds for my airlines tickets or anything else I will need to get there. That has already been taking care of.  

Just felt the need to make this clear. 

I do not have a date as of yet but maximum of a month.

They are still without electricity and water, I don't want to arrive and not get anything done. 

I am one person and taking on this task on my own so it will be hard but not impossible because I believe God will provide me with the strength that I need to get this done.

I know all of Puerto Rico is in a crisis, so this makes my parents situation my crisis.

As far as items, I will attempt to have items shipped but only when I know I am there to receive them.

I will provide more information on that at a later date.
