Financial Need for RoHan and family
I don’t know how to put this, so here it goes.
Hi, my name is Rebecca, I am a single mother of 6 magnificently beautiful children, not all biologically mine but all legally mine just the same. I work full time. We volunteer many places and are generally a pretty happy family, but we have recently run into some unfortunate circumstances out of my control.
My son RoHan is 6 years old. He is autistic with an anxiety disorder amongst other things. That has led to an MRI that revealed a large supracellar cyst. Because the majority of the cyst is on his pituitary gland, he now has to have brain surgery. The cyst is taking up 20-30% of his brain mass. If the pending surgery goes well with the shrinkage of the cyst and the brain coming back together, we may not have to put in a shunt. If we do, he will then be dependent on them for life. Either way, this is something he will have to continually deal with as he grows.
Because this is the first time handling any of this, I am not prepared for the two weeks or more I will be out of work, cost of hotel rooms, food, and transportation. My vehicle needs some repairs and all the monthly bills on the lesser income have put a strain on our family.
I have tried other avenues before this. Many of the foundations and places out there are out of funding or full and not able to help us at this time. I didn’t know what to put for the amount we need and it wouldn’t let me continue without entering an amount. Any amount is truly a blessing. This is for RoHan’s GoFund me page.
I have also set up a PO Box for RoHan and the other children for moral support, a kind word, a card, a colored picture or a kind gesture. This is also very important to us since we do not have family in the area.
