I am Phil Taylor of Rock Food Concepts and I am trying to save my business. 9 and a half years ago I took a chance on a run down restaurant on the North Quay. In that time I could not be more proud of what we have all achieved together bringing some of the most exciting and innovative hospitality concepts to the Island.
The impact of social distancing on our restaurants due to COVID-19 has been devastating. The damage rapid and dramatic. Our whole industry is literally collapsing around us. We are desperately trying to save our business and the livelihoods of our greatest asset - our incredible team, many have whom have dedicated their entire career to looking after and serving others. We are analysing every measure we can to reduce our overheads whilst keeping the majority of our team in employment.
We are "pivoting" so many times I'm getting dizzy and my only concern is the security and the welfare of the team. The government are planning measures but unfortunately they will be too late. So we are raising money to keep our teams employed over the next few months.
