Robot Missions Rebuild Fund

Donation protected
Over the weekend the Pod on Westboro Beach burned down. Robot Missions  was there the whole summer for our Municipal Trials, developing our beach cleaning robots. We had electronics and supplies lost that helped with the robots. (Thankfully, the robots were out of the Pod for the weekend. But they had supporting parts that are now destroyed.)

There's nothing salvageable. Damages inside to our electronics and supplies aren't covered by our insurance. And we'll be out at least a $1,000 deductible for damage to the trees and the sand.

The makers and owners of the Pod, prototypeD, should hopefully be covered by insurance for the structure to be able to rebuild it.

This shouldn't overshadow the fact that we've had a great summer engaging with the community and showing how low-cost, 3D printed robots, can be used to help mitigate pollution on beaches. Our season finale Field Test was attended by about 100 people who came out to cheer on the robots.

Robot Missions is trying to recoup the cost it will be for the deductible on our insurance and repair parts for the robots that we lost.

Your help would help us get over this hurdle... so we can continue on with our development and educational workshops. Like Robot Missions motto says, 'Helping the Planet with Robots'.
