Robert Bennett Funeral Expenses
Spende geschützt
Update:
This fundraiser has now changed, unfortunately, into one of helping defray the funeral expenses for Robert Bennett. He leaves behind his wife and children, and our goal now is to make this devastating tragedy a little less of a financial burden than it already is. Please pray for his family as they go through this. Thank you all, so very much, for what you have done already, and for anything you can do going forward, in memory of Robert.
Robert Bennett is an infantryman who served in the 1/17 Infantry "Buffaloes" with my brother for the 2009-2010 deployment. During the months that followed in the Arghandab River Valley, the unit lost in combat more men than any other Army battalion since the Vietnam War. After they returned, the soldiers and the families of the Buffaloes have kept a close connection.
On August 9th, Robert fell ill very suddenly, and was in the hospital in a medically induced coma for two weeks. Medically, his physical condition is improving but an EEG indicated a lack of brain activity. The possibility of brain damage is very real. He will be moved soon to a long term care facility closer to home. Please pray for Robert's healing. He is still alive, the rest of his body is starting to heal, there are positive reasons to hope - we just need him to wake up.
In the meantime, the circumstances are very trying and understandably stressful on Denise and the family. School starts this week, bills are due, mortgage payment is coming up. Your donations so far have been very helpful and soooo very much appreciated. Denise is set up as the recipient, and if you'd like to send a donation direct via paypal or check, you can message her for the contact info. We need to be able to help keep the family in the home, without worrying about the mortgage and other bills.
Please - if nothing else if possible - share this to your page if you know Robert or Denise. The more chances it is seen, the more possibility that someone is moved to make a donation, no matter how large or small. Anything that moves the needle forward is very helpful and most appreciated. Robert and Denise both served our country honorably in the Army and stood in the gap for all of us. They could use our help now in their hour of need.
Thank you sincerely!
