Road to East Timor

Over the past year I've had the opportunity to take part in debating and diplomacy competitions run by UN Youth Australia. It was through these experiences that I discovered a program in which I could express my passion for humanitarian aid.

After a vigorous application process, I have been given the opportunity to be a part of the Pacific Project 2016 delegation. The Pacific Project is a United Nations Youth run initiate which is culminated by a two week trip to East Timor.

Pacific Project works to support Destination Dreaming, an organisation which supports sustainable development and education within Timorese communities. Our time spent in Timor as well as the fundraising that follows will support Destination Dreaming and their mission to support Timor throughout times of major development.

As a member of the delegation I am faced with the challenge of seeking financial support from corporate and personal sponsors to cover travel expenses while in Timor.

It is my dream to be a contributor towards international development and I cannot wait to be a part of this incredible experience. Thank you for all your love and support so far!
