Funds for Faye

Help us fundraise to buy our beautiful Faye a good quality wig that will allow her to be comfortable during her treatment and bring a little normality to her and her kids’ lives, whilst she faces the fight of her life.

In 2021, our beautiful Faye was diagnosed with breast cancer. As a single mother of two young children and at an unusually young age for this horrendous disease, you can imagine the shock and sheer terror this caused. However, with her usual fighting spirit and determination, she had a series of surgeries and with the final one in 2022, we thought Faye was over the worst. She got on with her life looking after the kids, planning a holiday abroad for a family wedding and had just been offered her dream job.

However, after visiting a surgeon for what she thought was a breast reconstruction consultation, she was given the horrific news that the cancer was back and this time it was invasive, spreading to her lymph nodes, sternum, chest wall and armpit; she would require chemotherapy and lots of it. Forever the fighter, Faye once again faced this with determination and, resolved to beat the disease continuing to build a life for her beautiful children. But the treatment has taken a toll and because of it’s devastating effects, she is now losing her stunning hair. Although she is fighting it, this has caused her to feel uncomfortable and, more importantly for Faye, is causing her kids to become more worried as the effects of the disease become increasingly evident to them, despite their young age. And on top of everything else, she is no longer able to take the job she worked so hard for.

Therefore, we are fundraising to buy her a good quality wig that will help her to feel more confident – these are a lot more expensive than we thought and after undertaking research, will cost around £2000. In addition, any funds will allow her and the kids to do some of the ‘normal’ things for example, a family holiday or anything to help them all focus on the most important thing, which is to beat this horrible disease once and for all.
