Samantha and Marks IVF journey

As some of you may know, Mark and I have been trying to start our family for the last 4 years now.

Unfortunately, starting a family did not go as easy as we may have hoped it would and lost our first baby in September 2018. After multiple losses I was diagnosed with RPL (Reoccurring pregnancy loss) and Trisomy X.

This has been an extremely difficult road for us, but we still have so much hope and aren’t ready to give up on our dreams of starting our own little family.

After being on the wait list for a year and a half, Our names have finally come up on the list to start our IVF journey. We have begun the process but unfortunately keep being surprised with some hidden costs of certain medications and specific testing of our embryo to try and avoid another miscarriage.

For those unaware-your first round of IVF is covered under OHIP. Any medications which range from ($6,000-$12,000) and additional testing ($8,000) are not covered.

We had an event planned to try and raise money to help with our costs but the process is happening a lot faster than we expected and running out of time. We did not want to ask anyone for help by making one of these pages but unfortunately we are stuck and have to set aside our ego’s and pride as anything would help us at this point.
