Piper and her family need your help! Piper has had a rough few weeks. Piper was found to be shaking in pain. She was rushed to a local vet. No one could figure out why she was in so much pain other then possible stomach bloat. They took her back home and moments later she siezured. She was then rushed to the UF Gainsville Veterinary Hospital.
After many expensive and extensive tests, they still couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her stomach. What they did find was a tumor on her adrenal gland. This tumor throws her cortisol levels out of wack. When she gets stressed or scared or when she is in pain , her blood pressure spikes which causes the siezure . So far this adventure has put this amazing family $2500 in debt. Piper is scheduled for her CT scan this week that should tell them where they stand with this tumor. Hopefully it isn't cancer or it's hasn't spread And it can be removed. The CT scan and work up is estimated to be approx be another $1500-$2500. If they operate it's estimated to be another $3000. Piper dog here has touched the lives of many and this dog means the world to her family. Ryan and Shannon are always helping others so if you can help themin anyway they would so greatly appreciate it. Please, anything will help them in this fight. Sidney, their 9 year old daughter is devastated. This dog has been her side kick every since she was born. Hopefully they will be able to save her so Sidney has her to love for many more years to come.
