RJ's Medical Mission Trip to Haiti!

Hey Guys: Short Version- SARAH AND I ARE GOING TO HAITI!!! *See below for the full story ;)*
Long version -Back in high school I volunteered at Crossroads homeless shelter, and for my Senior Project created and ran a softball tournament which raised about a $1000 for a local breast cancer society. In college, I volunteered at Boston Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Park Street church Homeless Outreach Team giving back to the Boston community.
Upon graduation from undergrad God called me to Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medical School to train some of the most amazing faculty and doctors, who have not only taught me medicine, but continued to instill in me a servants heart. With my studies taking up a majority of my time I have not been able to get out into the community as much as I have had in the past. However, this Christmas break I have been given the opportunity to embark on the trip of a lifetime!
Sarah and I, in conjuction with an organization called Partners in Development (PID), will be going on a medical mission trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I look forward to this wonderful experience, as this will be my first international mission trip from December 16th-23rd, and the first time I will be able to use my medical education to better others. Sarah and I, and a team of medical professionals will be caring for those who do not have access to health care regularly and who are devastated by natural disasters year after year. Trip Cost Breakdown:
- Flights: $ 773
- Costs while in Haiti (housing, food, transportation, translators in clinic, etc.): $660
