Hi everyone!
Now that we have secured a location for our fridge, we would like to ask for your generous donations to help raise funds for construction costs (i.e., fridge, heater, construction materials, labor, electrical license, etc.) and to help stock the fridge for the first few months.
Although we intend for this to be a fridge by the community FOR the community, we need help getting it off the ground so that it can be used by people for years to come.
Why is this fridge important?
This fridge will provide 24/7 free access to food. Many people in Saskatoon experience food insecurity and the provision of healthy food helps to build a healthy community. Additionally, when local businesses support the fridge, they will be reducing their own food waste.
