Join us as we paddle the James River in kayaks and canoes from Yogaville in Buckingham County to Richmond to bring attention to the destructive impact the two proposed natural gas pipelines would have on our precious water resources.



Drawing energy from our activist family who recently "Walked the Line” through the heart of Virginia and experienced the mountains and valleys that would be irreparably damaged by the Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP) and Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP), we continue where they left off and take to the water for a trip that will be both educational and a non-violent political demonstration.

Specifics
Participants will meet Sunday night, September 3rd, at Yogaville and begin our journey on the water early Monday morning, camping each night along the river. A support vehicle will transport camping gear to the sites each day and meals will be prepared by Seeds of Peace mobile kitchen. 

How can you or your organization be a part of this event?

• Register to paddle and be a water protector!
• Share information of this event
• Help us raise funds by August 10th to know how many scholarships we can provide and how many water samples we can collect.

Donated funds will be used to:

- Help pay for daily meals 
- Provide scholarships for folks who need to rent boats   - Pay for Lab work on water samples
- Build a legal support fund for water protectors 
- Cover camping fees
- Pay our river guides.
- Buy materials for banners/ posters/ flyers/ printing materials 
- Build a long-term website dedicated to Protecting the James River.
