R.I.V.E.R. Free Pediatric Clinic

R.I.V.E.R. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is student-run and based in Davis, California. As a public health organization, we work to bridge the gap between preventive care and medical treatment by providing nutrition and exercise education and professional resources to underserved communities in the greater Sacramento and Davis areas. 

Over the past seven years, we have focused on improving the health of our communities through nutrition and exercise education. Now, we are looking for YOUR HELP to allow us to take the next step. We are proud to announce that we are starting the R.I.V.E.R. Mobile Pediatric Clinic! As a mobile clinic, we will be able to reach communities far out of reach from nearby health institutions and with poor public transit, while flexibly adapting to patient needs as they change over the years. This mobile clinic will allow us to reach uninsured and impoverished pediatric populations and provide much-needed medical care. We are providing an emphasis in preventative healthcare by addressing Adverse Childhood Events (ACEs), which are emotionally traumatic experiences that impact an individual before the age of 18 that ultimately lead to chronic disease in adulthood. We are aiming to serve:

-Elementary, middle, and high schools
-Provide ACE-related services to heal the effects of violent, abusive, and turbulent childhood experiences
-Our work will be school-based and impact generations of adolescents and teens
-We plan to provide flu shots and immunizations to pediatric populations across Sacramento County and surrounding regions!
