a little backstory:
Riot Presley Snow was born on August 29th 2020 with severe heart defects. Her diagnosis is Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia, Ventricular Septal Defect, Double Outlet Right Ventricle, and MAPCAS.
Up until a couple of weeks ago, Riot was doing very well! We knew an open heart surgery was looming around the corner, but we didn’t know exactly when it would come. We thought we had 2 more months to prepare, and we hoped we could get through her first Christmas, but it looks like now may be the time.
She has recently needed an NG tube to help her eat and oxygen to keep her saturation’s in order. Breathing is getting harder for this little girl and we are seeing the scary struggles that comes with her special heart.
We are headed to Toronto now to do a cath procedure to decide if she gets a bigger stent in her heart to buy more time, or if the open heart surgery is happening right now. Both options mean we will be there for at least a few days, but there’s risks in both and we could be there for an undetermined amount of time.
With Toronto in lockdown, Ronald McDonald having strict guidelines (must be there 10 daysto even get on a waitlist and they are full), the hotel being 160 a night, rent and Christmas, we really need the extra financial help.
We hate to ask for the financial assistance, especially during the holidays and Covid, but both mom and dad want to stay by Riot in Toronto - especially during the holiday season and especially in light of her recent health. A family member set up a GoFundMe when she was first born and it was a tremendous help, covering a lot of the hotel costs. We thought we would try again, and also want to thank anyone who donated when she first arrived!
Anything would be a great help and we truly appreciate all the donations, positive vibes, prayers and kind words.
