Ride.vote - Rides for Voters across America

We're raising money to give voters a free ride to the polls.


This isn't just about people who "don't have a car". 

This is for busy parents, people who need to get from work and back but don't have time to find parking, students who want a ride to school, people working from home, grandparents who can't take a bus right now - this is for everyone!  Making voting easy is the goal.

Why?

I've always thought that I didn't make a difference. My single vote really didn't mean much, in the grand scheme of things. 

This got me to wondering: how could I make a difference for America? 

How could I really impact, and not just pay for ads for a campaign, or some facebook posts, but instead, how can I really get people to vote? 

With ride.vote, I can make a difference, and you can make a difference.  Now, we can help get people directly to the polls to cast their vote, by working together!



How does my contribution help?

Every $25 means that I will purchase a ride offer on Ride.vote, and it will be offered to an organization, for distribution to their community.  Our goal is high, because we're shooting for the stars, and we need your help to get these in the hands of Americans across the nation!  


For the cost of ordering a meal on a food delivery app, we can give someone a chance to make their voice heard.

If we could hit this goal, then it means that we will be able to offer 40,000 rides to people this election.  Forty thousand rides!  That's enough to make a real difference!


How do people get rides?

We're offering rides when early-voting starts.  Depending on the county, this will be in early to mid October, and running through until the Election day.

95% of Americans have a mobile phone that can text!  Ride.vote uses text messaging to discover where to pick up the voter, and let them know their ride is on the way.  No need for a ride sharing app, or a credit card, or even a smartphone!

We're working with organizations like non-profits, companies, and community foundations to distribute the phone numbers across america, and get them in the hands of voters.

Because rides are only valid either to or from a voting or ballot dropoff location, we make sure that people have a chance to cast their ballot during early voting and on election day, and each voter gets two rides: to the polls and back.


How else can I help?

We're looking for MORE ORGANIZATIONS to help us distribute these rides!  Do you know a community foundation?  A company?  A manager who "gets it"?  Someone who really cares about America?  Send them a link to Ride.vote, and ask them to sign up!  Tell them to send me an email!  I will reach out to them, and ensure they're legitimate.  Then, Ride.vote sets them up with a toll-free number and they can start distributing today.
