Ride for Jim

Dear Friends,
I am writing to invite your participation in a Go Fund me campaign that I will be doing this summer in honor of my friend, Jim Stuart, who passed away last Fall. Jim was a kind and giving soul, who is dearly missed by many. Among his passions and commitments, Jim devoted countless hours in support of Homeward Bound, Addison County's Humane Society. His life's work with the organization is beautifully described in the dedication below, which appeared in the recent annual report which was dedicated in his honor:
When I read this dedication, the quote from Jim about making a difference in little ways spoke to me. I contacted Jess Danyow, the Director of Homeward Bound, to see if there are any unmet needs there at this time.
The Goal:
Since Jim's passing, in the absence of his dedicated oversight and expertise, there are additional IT costs associated with maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure and database. Jess estimates that these costs will approximate $3,000. I have set the GFM goal above that mark to ensure that these costs will be covered, and in hope that some additional funds can go towards direct support of the animals at Homeward Bound : )
How YOU can help:
The goal for this effort is to raise $3,500 for the Homeward Bound, Addison County's Humane Society. As a budding cyclist, I will be using my trusty road bike as a means of moving this campaign forward. My goal is to ride 500 miles this summer in support of this initiative. I am writing to ask that you please consider making a tax deductible contribution towards this goal by following the enclosed link:
