IN MEMORY OF RICH
Richard "Rich" Wolk came into our lives at the beginning of the Fall semester in 2014. Almost instantly, as we would quickly realize was his nature, he began connecting with people like he'd known them for years. A caring conversation, a warm smile, a quick joke, a hearty laugh, Rich's genuine manner endeared a great many of us, students and faculty alike.
Wake Forest Charlotte Center wasn't the only place where Rich's kindred spirit had a positive influence on the lives of those around him. He was a loving Husband, dedicated Father, caring Sibling, faithful Christian, honorable Serviceman, and the list goes on. He had more than a full plate of responsibilites between the familial, academic, and spiritual aspects of his life, yet still found quality time to engage friends, both old and new. Rich was a "no excuses" kind of guy, something he attributed to his time in dutiful service for this country.
On March 15, 2016, Rich was fatally wounded in a traffic accident, leaving his wife, three kids, four siblings, many more family members, and even more friends to mourn his loss. We are asking everyone reading this now for two things: 1) Please donate any amount that you can - all proceeds will be forwarded to Rich's family for relocation and other immediate needs, and 2) Please share this campaign with others who may be willing to help.
Rich inspired many of us with his character, resilience, and relentlessly positive disposition, so let's honor that legacy now by donating to his family's ongoing effort to rebuild from this sudden and tragic loss. Again, no amount is too small. 100% of the funds withdrawn from this campaign will go directly to the relocation and immediate care of his wife and children.
