A few short weeks ago a beloved father, partner, brother and son was taken from us. Left brain-damaged and in a comatose state after a serious injury, he fought the hardest battle of his life over a period of weeks. As the time passed we stayed by his side and held on to any hopeful signs, but eventually we were left with no recourse. Every medical professional was in agreement that he could not possibly recover, and we faced the agonising responsibility of withdrawing his life support. He passed away on the 27th of March, surrounded by his family. He was 39.

Richard is survived by his partner of 17 years, Emma, and their two girls Rebecca and Amelia, aged 8 and 10. He was a devoted partner and father and will be deeply missed. Unfortunately, his death having occurred at a young age, the family were not prepared for the costs of seeing him properly laid to rest, and since he was the main earner in the household, their future financial stability is more uncertain. Therefore we are trying to raise funds to help ease the strain on Richard's family at this difficult time. All donations would go towards covering funeral-related expenses, and any amount raised in excess of our goal would go towards assisting with day to day expenses ensuring the continued food and housing security of Richard's daughters.

We miss him terribly, but any donations that help us to give him the send off he deserves would be gratefully appreciated and help ease the burden somewhat.
