Richard Day's Beat MDS Fund

My dad was diagnosed with MDS back in July of this year. MDS,which is short for Myelodysplastic Syndrome, is a rare genetic blood disorder that causes his bone marrow to not reproduce blood cells within the body like it should,but to fight off its own blood cells till there aren't any. This disease is like cancer and eventually transforms in to Leukemia if not treated. He has underwent two cycles of chemotherapy to keep the disease somewhat at bay and has received numerous blood transfusions in order to keep his blood counts at normal levels in the past few months. He is scheduled to undergo a STEM Cell Transplant(Bone marrow transplant) at MD Anderson in Houston, TX sometime January 2021. This fundraiser is to help both him and my mom to cover expenses that insurance will not. Starting in January both of them will be in Houston for atleast 4 months. During this time they will have to pay for travel, housing, food, and any other additional expenses that may come about out of pocket.
