Lisa Grossman has set up this fundraiser for RHOAR “Restore Home Owners Autonomy and Rights”

We are a true grassroots organization, RHOAR, exploded onto the scene in direct response to New York City’s newly-minted Local Law 18. A handful of one and two family homeowners who would be directly affected by this Law posted their concerns on FACEBOOK and voila! RHOAR was born. Respectfully, we urge our members to donate to keep our cause alive. Recommended donation amount is equal to a one night stay in your home.

Our once small group has now blossomed into a movement comprised of eager and focused one and two family homeowners across the five boroughs interested in researching the rules, maintaining their rights, voicing their concerns and flexing their muscles. We are working toward amending legislation to ultimately allow owner occupied One and Two Family homeowners the ability to rent short term.

This Go Fund Me page has been created to help fund our coalition. Your donation will go towards the costs involved in supporting RHOAR, including administrative expenses, social media, legal consultation, regarding State and local housing codes, and possible future litigation. As a group, if we all participate, we will be better able to fund our future.

Our immediate goal is to work with the City Council, OSE, the Mayor’s Office and Advocacy Groups to negotiate changes to current laws.
