On January 26th 2018 I was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Ph+. What followed was repeated hospitalizations, spinal chemotherapy, IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, steroids, antivirals, antifungals, and antibiotics. Almost exactly a year later, on January 25th 2019 I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. March 6th 2019 I had a procedure to remove it. I beat both cancers just to in September 2019 by some miracle discover I was pregnant. Despite being encouraged to abort, I maintained the pregnancy. My leukemia returned and caused Baby Xane to spend 5 months in the NICU. During this time I received chemo, total body irradiation, and a bone marrow transplant.
101 days after bone marrow transplant on August 23rd 2020 I became hospitalized in the ICU. I am going to undergo CAR T cell therapy and keep trying to survive.
I have 5 small children and guardianship of my siblings. Their dads doing everything possible but we are all struggling and I’m not sure I’ll ever be going home.
