Jadie Simpson and Floyd - Carer and Wonder Dog

Jadie has been a dedicated and much loved educator at Cygnet Community Children’s Centre for many years, as well as a valued and long term member of the broader Cygnet/Huon Valley community. But her most crucial role is of course mum to six, her youngest only 13 years old.

Recently Jadie was diagnosed with metastatic cervical cancer and requires immediate treatment and extended hospital stays. She has already required surgery to remove part of a brain tumour and will undergo chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Unfortunately, at the same time as her diagnosis, her beloved family dog Floyd was injured and requires extensive and prohibitively costly spinal surgery.

Having Floyd fit and well to assume his role as apprentice carer and general wonder dog is a large focus of this fundraiser effort, as well as Jadie’s own medical costs, rent, and whatever else may be needed to keep her family afloat and well supported through this tough time.
