We represent a young woman seeking asylum from a small country in Central America. She was kidnapped by gangs in her country, raped repeatedly, and forced to work as a sex slave for the past 3 years, while her little son was kept from seeing her. She has been held at a federal detention center near the Otay Mesa border crossing in San Diego, since July. Please note, for privacy and detention reasons, her true and exact photo could not be used here. At her hearing this past week, the Judge set a $5,000 bail. We only need to raise 20% of that amount, or $1,000, to give her the opportunity to spend this holiday season with her grandfather and uncle.
She would greatly appreciate your help! We ask that you merely give what you can - whether $50, $20, $10 or even $5 - to help free her.
