My brother-in-law, Carl Anderson, tragically passed away on April 3, 2025. He had dreams of a very different future and unfortunately, he was never able to receive the kidney transplant he was valiantly fighting to stay alive for. One of the passion projects that he and my sister worked on together last year was cultivating an herb and vegetable garden that they were planning on expanding this year. Just a few weeks ago, I unloaded their potting soil order to their house.

I am creating this fundraising campaign with the hopes of surprising my sister with a backyard makeover. The deck has rotted through and is unsafe to walk on. The initial funds would go towards that. All remaining funds would go towards getting some raised beds for the garden, a comfortable chair for Michele to sit in, and a memorial tree or bush in honor of her late husband.
