Reuniting Mommy and Baby Sal

Krista Parise gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy on June 3rd 2019. She had an emergency C section which in this day and age is not uncommon. She returned home eager to be a loving mother and excited to bond with baby Salvatore.
In the following couple of days she was experiencing a fever and pain which she attributed to the medication and healing from the c-section. The pain then became severe, she was also not able to care for her baby the way she wanted to and needed help from her family and friends. With two doctor visits it was deemed it was just an infection and she was prescribed an antibiotic. By the fifth day Krista was in so much pain that she was actually seeing stars like cartoon characters see. She rushed to the doctor and was immediately admitted to the ER in Manhattan after her doctor deemed she had contracted an extremely rare flesh eating bacteria called Necrotizing Fasciitis.
This fast moving bacteria can be deadly. It ate through the muscles, tissues and skin in her abdomen area. Had Krista not made it to the doctor when she did, this bacteria would have traveled to her organs next causing toxic shock. She was sent in for emergency surgery to remove all of the dead tissue and was immediately put on a regimen of very strong antibiotics. We are all extremely grateful to the hospital and doctors who saved Krista's life. Baby Sal is especially grateful. Krista is lucky to be alive but has a tough recovery ahead of her. To date she is still in hospital and will have to have more surgeries to reconstruct the muscle and tissue that was lost. She is also still fighting the infection as her white blood cells are still too high to release her from the hospital. The worst part is that she cannot see her son until she is 100% better and released from the hospital. Missing out on bonding with Sal during these first few weeks as a new mother is just torture.
Please help us raise money so Krista and her family won't be destroyed by these unexpected medical bills. Krista still has more surgeries to go and when she is released will need a hospital bed at her home as well as a full time nurse as the tissues and muscles in her stomach heal and rebuild. Any gift to alleviate the overwhelming burden of these unexpected hospital bills will be totally appreciated. We are not looking for massive donations but would love for lots of little ones to come together to help our girl have one less thing to worry about.
