UPDATE! Edison is now seen with his father and Uncle. Patrick flew to Zambia to meet with his son after separation of 12 years. DNA tests have been taken on parents and son. Hoping that the government moves quickly and he will be able to come to Canada with his dad the end of August.

The picture shown is a young boy 14 with his mom photo shopped in. He has not seen his mom or dad since he was 5 years old. Edson was five when the village was attacked, burned and few made it out alive. It is a long and tragic story. He was with his moms cousin when the attack happened. His mom was saying goodbye to her mother in another area. It happened so fast. Unknown to Neema the mom her son Edson and her cousin made it into the jungle. She searched after the attack but it was unsafe to stay long. She was told by others that her son and cousin were murdered. The cousin returned and was told the mother was dead. She took the boy Edson and raised him for 7 years until he was found 3 days travel from the camp Neema and Patrick lived. Sadly he was found 6 weeks after they had arrived in Canada. It had been 7 years with no word. He was believed to be dead. He was not allowed to join his family and attempts to sponsor him are caught up in the system. Ths poor child has had a hard life and needs to be with his family. His father Patrick is flying to Zambia Africa to see him. This is putting a financial strain on the family. He has travel expenses and 2 children and a wife that must be supported while he is away.Patrick has worked nights loading trucks since arriving in Canada. He has worked hard and supported his family. Please give a little or a lot. Help reunite this child with his family. I could not imagine living through what this family has . Edson is an underage boy living in a refugee camp. Thank you in advance.
