My nephew Elias is now 8 years old and suffers from a rare disease called tyrosinemia.

Tyrosinemia is a group of rare, autosomal recessive genetic metabolic diseases in which the metabolism of the amino acid tyrosine is disturbed. They have an increased level of tyrosine in the blood in common. Symptoms include mental retardation, liver and kidney disease and body fluids that smell of cooked cabbage. Without adequate treatment, the disease is fatal within the first ten years of life. However, with therapy with nitisinone and adherence to a low-tyrosine diet, the survival rate is over 90%.

Six months ago, his liver began to develop cirrhosis due to a lack of medication, and two weeks ago he was transferred to Kafr El-Sheikh Hospital in Egypt for treatment. Unfortunately, this medication is not available in Egypt and is very expensive in Germany, and I cannot afford it myself, so I am asking for your help.

he is supposed to take 2 tablet of Orfardin 5 mg every day, without medication he is getting worse, more liver cirrhosis, fatigue, acute pain, nausea, and loss of appetite.

تيروزين الدم هو الاسم الذي يطلق على مجموعة من الأمراض الأيضية الوراثية الجسدية المتنحية النادرة التي يضطرب فيها استقلاب الحمض الأميني التيروزين. ويشتركون في ارتفاع مستوى التيروزين في الدم. وتشمل الأعراض التخلف العقلي، وأمراض الكبد والكلى، ورائحة سوائل الجسم مثل الكرنب المطبوخ، ويصبح المرض مميتًا خلال السنوات العشر الأولى من الحياة. ومع ذلك، من خلال العلاج بالنيتيسينون والالتزام بنظام غذائي منخفض التيروزين، فإن معدل البقاء على قيد الحياة يزيد عن 90٪.

ومنذ ستة أشهر، بدأ الكبد يصاب بالتليف بسبب نقص الدواء، وقبل أسبوعين تم نقله إلى مستشفى كفر الشيخ في مصر لتلقي العلاج. وللأسف هذا الدواء غير متوفر في مصر وهو مكلف للغاية في ألمانيا ولا أستطيع تحمل تكاليفه بنفسي، لذا أطلب منكم المساعدة.

ومن المفترض أن يتناول قرصين من أورفاردين 5 ملغ يومياً، وبدون دواء تزداد حالته سوءاً، ويزداد تليف الكبد، والتعب، والألم الحاد، والغثيان، وفقدان الشهية.
