Fathers Matter

My name is Aziz King Sr. And as most know I am going through a divorce from my son’s mother. It was brought to my attention by my children the last year of me finishing school to get my degree that she was having an active affair with an Atlanta cop when my kids told me “daddy mommy has a boyfriend.” While I admit our marriage was no picnic I figured we could work things out in the end for the better. My opinion has since changed after she has aggressively done all she can to make life more difficult; since the beginning of 2020 she has sent me to jail off of doctored allegations 3 separate times. After my children had begged me to allow them to spend more time together since they rarely see each other since the separation, I had come to a temporary agreement with the mother that allowed them to spend time together at her home while I was at work. This lasted for rough 6 weeks until my daughter and son kept telling me how “they want to come home.” Come to find out she and her boyfriend were mistreating and abusing my 9 year old daughter (from a previous relationship) to such a point my baby felt neglected and invisible and she tried to take her own life on several occasions. Something my daughter told me after I had to get the police involved because the mother refuse to return my daughter (not her daughter) to my care with no solid reasoning behind why. My daughter also told me how she was instructed by the mother to not tell me (the father) they spend time at her boyfriends or how my daughter tried to kill herself. Since the start of this nightmare, I have been fighting this alone while also accomplishing getting my degree and trying to provide a good living for my children. I have not been able to afford an attorney and have done all of this Pro se, but I have come to the point I can no longer stand against her lawyer and the Cobb county legal system who allows her to continue to do as she pleases without any repercussions. Just recently after she refused to  return my daughter (again no physical relation to the mother) it took me from 3pm the afternoon of October 19th until 11:45pm the same night for the Marietta police to do anything to help me, and only after I informed them if they were unwilling to help me I’ll go get her myself. The same night her cop boyfriend threatened me in front of witnesses including the police stating that “I’m going to have to fix you.” The following day my son called me and asked to come home, the day after that I was served by the Cobb county sheriff with another Doctored TPO (temporary protective order) from the mother that not only prevents me from being in contact with her but also my son. I haven’t seen my son in over a month now and haven’t spoken to him since October 20th the longest ever we’ve been apart. I have found a lawyer that is willing to take my case. He is requiring $1,000 to help me with the TPO and another $2,500 for me to retain him as my representation in this divorce case. I’m asking any and all that see this please hear my plea for assistance. Not all fathers are deadbeats and want nothing to do with their kids. This is super hard to type and ask for assistance but my children mean the world to me and I will do anything for them. Please assist me in anyway you can and forward this to at least 10 people asking for their help.
