we are starting a church! We are excited to be on this journey and the Lord allowed us to find a building to get started in!
The church is great but because it was built in the 1930s and had been empty for a number of years we have ran into some problems that need to be corrected before we can become operational.
The church was previously Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church in Scottsboro Alabama. I have heard stories about how many lives were changed in this building and how much Hope was restored there and I’m so excited to be able to preach in this old church!
We got the building as is, and the power was off when we got it, so we were not able to function test anything and now that the power is on we have learned that there are a lot of things that need repaired.
The Duct work has to be replaced because while the church has been unused for years the duct work is now full of holes so the air is not blowing into the church, there are issues where the electrical work needs to be brought up to code, exit signs need to be replaced, kitchen equipment needs updated, water heaters are not working, 2 air conditioners need repaired, gas lines have to be reworked, Fluorescent light ballast have to be replaced and a list of other things need to be made workable.
We need a sound system and songbooks and just normal items you would need for church.
We are just getting started so any donation amount the lord lays on your heart to give will be a blessing to our ministry!
We know the Lord is faithful and will provide all we need in order to do the work he is rising us up to do.
We have been seeing an incredible movement of the Lord since we began on this journey, we have witnessed people filled with the Holy Ghost, being healed and being renewed in the hope, faith and relationship with Jesus!
We have decided to name the church Restoring Faith as a tribute to the work done in the church in the prior years and as a mission to reach as many people who feel lost, broken, undone, beyond grace or mercy and to teach them about God’s grace and love!
We are a church for people who are looking for more, who want more God in their life, who want more praise in their life, who want a closer relationship with him! We want to be a place God will use to bring back his scattered children (Ezekiel 34:11-16)
