Help restore vandalized Maria Félix mural!

A few weeks ago Ash Ryan (the artist whose amazing Lil Nas X mural you may have seen at Writer's Block Rehab in the Gayborhood) painted a beautiful mural of María Félix on the wall of the corner store at 8th and Tasker. My heart broke when I looked out my window this morning to see that it was vandalized and completely defaced overnight. I walked over to the store this morning to offer my help however I could, even if it was just to donate cans of paint, but I wanted to do more. I reached out to the artist who gave me the green light to create this gofundme for its restoration. Ash told me the paint cost about $300 and that the original mural wasn't fully finished, so I added a bit of cushion to the goal to hopefully cover the full piece. Please consider donating if you're able! If we go over goal I'd also love to fund a little security system set up for the shop owners to deter any potential vandalization in the future.
