Friends of Ellesmere Port Waterfront Park

Having set up this page in the summer of 2021 to fund the reinstatement of three missing benches along the Ellesmere Port Waterfront (South Pier Road), we were contacted by the Mayor of Ellesmere Port, Councillor Lisa Denson who pledged to fully fund the project in partnership with Cheshire West & Chester Council.  Now that this pledge is being formally delivered (two benches were installed in March 2023), our efforts have shifted to making other improvements to the Waterfront. We have worked hard to enhance the appearance of the area with major projects including the clearing of brambles around the entrance and the planting of 700 daffodils in the winter of 2021. In spring 2022 we transformed the area around the viewing point with the clearing of brambles, repainting of the railings and the creation of a lavender garden at its entrance.Our volunteers are dedicated to keeping the area looking its best through regular litter picking, path clearing and gardening.
