Restore our faith in the community!

Sadly our local Roots foodbank team were called out tonight after being alerted to a fire in The Mutley Crew's yard leased by Elaine Johnston on the canal bank, Bonnybridge.

They would like to appeal to the public who may have seen anything around the time of 9:15pm on Monday 30th May 2022 to come forward by contacting the police on 101. Any little detail you may have seen may be key.

Elaine had kindly allowed them to store their Christmas trailer and a second trailer they were in the process of building.

Unfortunately, their much loved trailer which was used to tour around the Banknock, Bonnybridge and Denny communities last year for free is looking beyond repair, as well as their Santa's throne. Their second trailer has also been destroyed. This will affect so many in the communities our foodbank serves.

However, the worst thing they witnessed as a team tonight was a broken woman. Elaine, who is well known in the community, is distraught at the amount of damage to her property as she would do anything for anyone. And as she said to the team "I would give someone my last." Her livelihood has now gone.

LET'S HELP HER RESTORE HER FAITH IN OUR COMMUNITY.

All funds raised will be split between Elaine and the Roots team.
