Restore Hope for Goat Dad's Garrett and Will Post-Helene
Donation protected
My favorite goat dads, and yours, Garrett Young and William Varney, are in need of our help. While Garrett was off winning yet another wedding guest MVP award while in attendance at my brother's wedding, unfortunately, Hurricane Helene was winning MVP of unprecedented mayhem and destruction in Florida. She destroyed Will and Garrett's new home in Port Richey, Florida. Their new house, new car, and most of their treasured belongings and family mementos have been destroyed by floodwaters, leaving them to seek temporary shelter for them and their dogs and goats, as well as transportation to work, and a mess of muck and mold to clean up in hopes that their home can be repaired and their lives restored. This storm has caused great pain and worse heartache for so many, and they are completely grateful that they didn't lose each other or their beloved animals. (Minus Stevie who passed away a few days before the hurricane ) However, it may take weeks before they are able to get any financial assistance and months before they have a home to return to, so any little bit to help them in the meantime would mean the world. Your donations will assist them with finding long-term shelter, clothes, food, pet care, transportation, as well as the financial losses incurred from missing work.
They gave so many people—both beloved and complete strangers—shelter, love, and support for years in Pittsburgh. If you've encountered either of them, even just briefly, you are aware that their generosity has no boundaries in their hearts. I've started this GoFundMe for any of yinz guyz to be able to help them in their hour of greatest need by giving what you can, since, once more, if you know either of them, you know they won't ask for anything. If you can volunteer time to help them or offer other non-monetary assistance, please reach out. However, please refrain from personally calling or texting them well wishes during this chaotic time. They know how much you love them, but give them some quiet time as they are busy and overwhelmed right now. (Leave a message on FB or IG or share this link and they will get back to you as soon as things settle down.)
Much love and tremendous thanks,
