Restore George's Truck, Restore His Livelihood

Hi, my name is Stephen Markle. I live on South Main Street in Holley. I'm starting a fundraiser to help a friend. An elderly veteran who is down on his luck and doesn't have the money to fix his transportation. He's a hard-working individual usually doing lawn care to make ends meet. He has a 2010 Ford pickup truck that needs a transmission. Without it, he can't do his landscaping business work. He does just enough to make his life a little more comfortable. But now he can only do very local lawns where people loan him the lawn mowers and such. I've known George for quite a few years, and he does my lawn for what I pay him for. This man is a long-time Holley Resident and really could use some generosity from the community. Anything you can give would be a great help. I'm going to help as much as I can. I'm going to try to find somebody to help me install the transmission in his truck for free. If we can all pitch in a little bit here and there, we'll be able to purchase a used transmission for about $2,100. That'll make a tremendous difference in his life. George is a little younger than me and has quite a bit of ambition. He just needs our help now. Talk to your neighbors and friends and see if you can all give a little bit so we can get him back on his feet before winter gets here. It's kind of hard to get to a store for food and such, depending upon the kindness of others to give him a ride. I hope you can find it in your heart to help out. Thank you in advance for anything you can give. I'll keep you up to date on how it's going, and if we can get to the goal, I can probably use any kind of help for the installation. But first things first, we need to get the transmission purchased.
