Resilience training for aid workers

Donation protected
Please help us help the aid workers!

Humanitarian aid work can be very stressful. People deal with a lot challenging situations and as in the case of the ongoing refugee crisis they also deal with people who themselves have encountered traumatic situations.

Prolonged exposure to this kind of work leads to a build-up of stress, diminished efficiency and eventually a potential burn-out.

Wolverine GRS is running a series of free one-day workshop around the subject of "Managing burn-out & building team resilience". The course takes place in Athens Greece on July 10, 12 & 14 and is conducted by an trainer with extensive experience in this field.

On completion of this training participants will:

- be aware of the characteristics of a resilient team;
- know how to assess team resilience;
- understand importance of self-awareness;
- acquire skills to build personal and team resilience;
- know how to manage team conflict;
- be aware of the signs of burnout in self and team
   members;
- acquire skills to recover from burnout
- know how to recognise signs of trauma in refugees
- have strategies for dealing with exposure to trauma

We have almost every aspect organised but need assistance with covering the costs of the unavoidable overheads such as course materials, travel, accommodation etc.
The team itself is working on a voluntary basis and does not receive payment for their work
Feedback on the proposed course is very positive and we have received repeated emails thanking us for organising this.

So please donate so that we can make this happen!
Thank you!
