Replace money lost in a scam - Men's mental health

I'm John Davies the chairman of The Eagles Nest, Mens Shed Blaenymaes and I recently lost my partner and have been left to raise my son on my own. I'm a veteran who is suffering with PTSD and just want to help other men in the community also struggling with mental health.
I started a local 'Men's Health' group which quickly became a great source for men to get together to talk and put whatever skills they have to use for the benefit of the wider community.
Myself and the men from Eagles Nest secured land in Penllegaer Valley Woods to help establish a woodland nursery to help replace the diseased trees within the woodland. To get started we wanted to purchase a shipping container to create a workshop for the men and a safe and dry place to meet. However, Eagle's Nest was scammed, the scammers had cloned a companies website to sell a container that didn't exist. We were left £2,600 out of pocket, money which had been donated from others having seen the work that we had already been doing for other community projects.
The Men's Shed have been cruely knocked back by the scam which has been a major set back for our ambitious plans. The money raised will be used to get a new container as soon as possible so that we can get our workshop off the ground and continue with our vision for the woodland and the wider community.
The story was picked up by the BBC and broadcast on Tuesday 4th May nationwide. We hope that our story helps others from being scammed in a similar way.
